SWEET AMNESIA ZIZI HATTAB

Sometimes you need to forget everything you’ve learned in order to find your own way. This is something Zizi Hattab has done twice. As a trained engineer with a well-paid 8-to-5 job, she took on an internship with Swiss celebrity chef Andreas Caminada. He was won over by her enthusiasm despite her lack of previous experience. After cooking her way up through various Michelin-starred kitchens in Italy, Spain and New York to become Enrique Olvera’s righthand woman, she opened her own restaurant in Zurich. This was the second time Zizi Hattab threw her hard-won experience overboard, as KLE at Wiedikon station is completely vegan. Her “plant-based fine dining cuisine” won a Michelin star only two years after opening in 2020. With this accolade, impeccable service and moderate prices for high-end cuisine, Zizi Hattab wants to encourage her guests to rethink their eating habits. If you don’t miss anything in terms of flavour, you can perhaps live without some things that cause great suffering to animals and are so harmful for the environment.
